The Buffalo Bisons have had to update their logo as their partnership with the New York Mets is over. This is a disappointment. It is a poorly executed revamp of the mid 1980’s Hittin’ Buster design. My apologies to ADPRO Sports, but your illustration falls flat and the use of colors leaves something to be desired.
Hey followers guess what?! More fake sports team branding!
Buffalo Soldiers, with so many borrowed elements from the Sabres it isn’t even funny.

This link showcases Buffalo and the residential block featured on the video is my old block.

It’s been a while since I nerded out about Buffalo and or sports logos, so here’s a new one. I was reading a thread on the forum over at Sportslogos.net and it was about combining all the professional sports logos from one city into one logo. There was one for Buffalo but it was a little plain and lacking any representation of the Bisons. So I took their idea and built on it. I am still trying to figure out a way to incorporate the Bandits (professional Lacrosse) elements into the design.
I was thinking about bars that I have been to more than a handful of times. Starting with the earliest ending with the most recent.
•Mulligan’s Brick Bar, Allen St, Buffalo
•The Alibi, Dekalb Ave, Brooklyn
•The Rope, Myrtle Ave, Brooklyn
•Sputnik (I believe it to be closed) Taaffe Place, Brooklyn
•The Pink, Allen St, Buffalo
•Lansdowne Road, 10th Ave, Manhattan
•Under The Volcano, something, Manhattan
•Allen Street Hardware, Allen St, Buffalo
•Union Hall, 5th Ave, Brooklyn
•George Keeley’s, Amsterdam Ave, Manhattan
•Brooklyn Public House, Dekalb Ave, Brooklyn
•Levee, North 3rd St, Brooklyn
•Walter’s, 8th Ave, Manhattan
•Village Pour House, 3rd Ave, Manhattan
•Franklin Park, St. John’s Pl, Brooklyn

Disclaimer: By no means am I recommending any of these bars I am only saying I have been to them more than 5 times.
Have you been to any of these places?
My favorite neon sign in Buffalo, on the corner of Bidwell Parkway and Elmwood Avenue. Designed by Laura Rankin, Dan Sack and Andy Ferullo.
