So far on my unemployment journey I have realized two mindsets, the first is the excited energy that comes when thinking what is going to be my next project, be it big or small. The second is that this is like a genuine sick day and I don’t know if I’m going to be better tomorrow morning or sick in bed all week.

What the hell was I thinking, my flight out tomorrow is at 6:40am? Damn it, that means I have to wake up at 4 am just so I can shower and find a cab. Why did I do this to myself?

Today I had my office good bye lunch. I worked at Oddcast for 2 years and one month, I have see roughly 40 people come and go through the office doors. We went to lunch at an all you can eat sushi buffet and we brought 24 people. The total cost of lunch was $610 including tax and tip. As of this post there are still people there making sure the bill is paid correctly. Thanks guys for making me feel appreciated.

My Aunt and her 7 year old daughter were watching the news on Wednesday night, the report was on President Elect Barack Obama. After the news anchor kept referring to Mr. Obama as an African-American my cousin turned to my aunt and said “He doesn’t look very ‘African’ to me, he just looks American.”

I don’t care what your politics are, just go vote.
